In 2018, Jean-Noël Gouze’s daughter was suddenly confronted with type 1 diabetes. She had to quickly learn how to adapt her daily routine to different treatments and their mode of administration. Her way of life changed drastically.

Once over the initial shock, she also discovered the complexity experienced by all diabetic patients to maintain mean values of physiological blood sugar day after day.

Unfortunately there was no treatment or medical device that could alleviate this daily challenge for diabetics.

Thanks to his scientific background in both public and private research for over 20 years, Jean-Noël developed a solution that would allow his daughter to better manage the emotions involved with the disease. This solution would be able to help her to anticipate and reduce the famous post-prandial hyperglycemia that affects quality of life and health status to such an extent.

After initial real-life tests, a new study was carried out in two hospitals to validate the results on a larger scale.

And this was the start of M-DT1.
